HAI (koinobori) mixed media 2008

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Geostationary satellites playing broken telephone game.
22.400 Miles above our heads, discretely.
Sharing each others an unknown message with possible, subtle misunderstandings,
three satellites completely ignore what happens out of their comfortable circle.
They just keep playing.
Confidentially.
UMIDASU & KENCHIGAI

Umidasu is the software which first 'invents' the message.
Kenchigai is the one
to possibly - not necessarily -
transform it.
Sentences are always grammatically correct, yet logic may be completely altered.
Just as in Broken Telephone game.
OK
"Hai" is a japanese term meaning "Understood" - "I agree with you" - "You are right" - "OK".
In english it is spelled "High".
FLOATING
HAI has been presented as three split-column with a black rotating cube magnetically suspended in the middle.

KO
HAI is a project originally planned with the support of Eutelsat Italia.
A last minute second-thought pulled the project off their interest, and the project never aired.
